Papaya (Carica papaya)

Carica papaya, commonly known as Papaya is a small, fast-growing but short-lived, evergreen tree. The fruit is commonly spherical to cylindrical in form.The very juicy flesh is deep yellow or orange to salmon-colored.

Height : Reaches up to 3 – 10 m tall.
Light : Prefers a sunny position.
Humidity : Requires high humidity.
Uses : Grown for fruit production. Trees are short-lived, but have some ornamental value as large-leaved tropical plants.
