Ophiopogon japonicus, commonly called mondo grass is an evergreen, perennial plant, is grasslike and has a dwarf mounding form. Leaves are very narrow and less than an inch wide.
Height : Grows about 30 cm tall.
Light : Succeeds in a sunny position.
Humidity : Requires moderate humidity.
Uses : Low-maintenance, ornamental grass-like ground cover for shady areas of the landscape. Border foregrounds. Rock gardens. Path edger. Along ponds or streams. Interesting turf substitute which requires no mowing.
