Black Plum (Syzygium cumini)

Syzygium cumini, commonly known as Black Plum is a fast-growing, attractive evergreen shrub or tree with a dense, frondose crown. Flowers are greenish white; fruits are berry oblong, black, juicy shining when thoroughly ripe.

Height : It usually grows 10 – 15 m tall.
Light : Although it prefers a sunny position, plants are moderately shade-tolerant.
Humidity : Requires moderate humidity.
Uses : Field border, avenue, wet area. It is also planted for shade, ornament, windbreaks, and hedges.
